‘Herd,’ ‘FTF’ have record years on FS1

FS1 in 2023 had the best year on record for viewership around two of its marquee studio shows -- “The Herd” and “First Things First.” Colin Cowherd’s show in the 12pm ET window averaged 156,000 viewers, up 19% from 2022 (131,000). The show wrapped up the year with its best December average on record, giving the program 13 straight months of year-over-year growth. In the 3pm window, “FTF” had a record year at an average of 149,000 viewers, up 82% from 82,000 in 2022 (this was the first full year in the afternoon timeslot after moving off of mornings in fall of 2022). “FTF” has seen 16 straight months of year-over-year growth (double-digit growth actually), with December marking the show’s best month on record. While “Speak” did not have a record year, it was still the 4:30pm show’s second-best year yet. “FTF,” which continues to go head-to-head with “Around the Horn” and “PTI” on ESPN, also had its best December yet (which also was the program’s second-best month on record).
