Warriors G Stephen Curry last night delivered a video message “professing his support” for Vice President Kamala Harris at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. On the heels of winning a gold medal in the Paris Olympics, Curry said that he “hopes the nation can unite under” a Harris- Tim Walz ticket. He recounted the time he visited the VP at the White House, which “initially shaped his opinion of Harris.” Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who spoke at the DNC earlier this week, said he accepted the invitation to “step into a different kind of arena” and speak at the DNC “because of his stance on leadership” (NBCBAYAREA.com, 8/23). Curry, with his “gold medal around his neck,” said the “unity on and off the court” at the Olympics “reminded us all that together we can do all things and continue to inspire the world” (L.A. TIMES, 8/22).

In Milwaukee, Bucks F Khris Middleton on Tuesday “rallied with Harris” at Fiserv Forum (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 8/22).
