The Big 12 is set to announce an expansion of its current deal with Microsoft, sources told Sports Business Journal. An official announcement is expected on Monday. The new multiyear partnership will see the Big 12 utilize Microsoft’s Copilot technology, including AI agents, to enhance business operations.
Use cases for the partnership will include Big 12 officials utilizing Copilot to review post-game video footage to develop learning and training insights. Microsoft Surfaces will also be available for players and coaches on the sidelines during games and practices. Big 12 Media Days, which kick off next week in Frisco, Texas, will also be “powered” by Copilot.
The partnership between the league and Microsoft began last year when the Microsoft Surface become the official tablet of Big 12 football.
Monday’s expected news also comes on the heels of the Big 12 announcing a five-year partnership with PayPal worth nearly $100M to serve as the processing platform for revenue share payments related to the House settlement.
