MLB has replaced its All-Star Celebrity Softball Game with a 3-on-3 competition. It will follow the Futures Game on July 12 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
The league says MLBx: All-Star 3-on-3 is a fast-paced format built around power hitting and athletic catching. It will consist of a semis and a finals, with each game lasting 30 minutes. The co-ed competition will feature male and female athletes alongside MLB-All-Stars, softball superstars and special guests. Lineups will be released at a later date.
The Celebrity Softball Game had been around 2021.
