The city of Orlando has “put out a bid process for a design/build firm to create and construct a 140,000-square-foot facility on land adjacent” to Camping World Stadium. The venue is part of the ongoing $400M stadium upgrade “expected to be completed in 2027.” The facility’s design is “not finalized,” but plans call for a “multi-sport layout with support spaces such as a main lobby, locker rooms and concessions, as well as event and banquet space.” Design/build teams must submit applications by May 27. The estimated price tag of $61M includes “design, permitting, utility connection fees and construction budgets, in addition to other costs.” The city aims to “select a firm in June” and have “design development done in September, with construction documents completed by December 2026.” A construction timeline and final cost would be “created by the contractor” (ORLANDO BUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/30).
