The Lakers have made L.A.-based Albert their jersey patch sponsor, as the personal finance app crosses locker rooms and strikes its first deal with an NBA franchise.
Since February 2025, Albert’s only local sports deal had been a patch partnership with the WNBA’s Sparks. But this new premium package with the Lakers -- sourced and facilitated by Excel Sports Management’s Properties Division -- will increase its brand exposure.
The Albert patch will be stitched on the upper left chest of the four Lakers jerseys: the gold icon edition, purple statement edition, white association edition and black city edition. The branding will be prevalent in game broadcasts on Spectrum SportsNet, as well.

Terms of the arrangement were undisclosed; the Lakers’ previous patch sponsorship with Korean food brand Bibigo was for a reported five years and $100M. Prior to that, the team had an undisclosed five-year deal with e-commerce brand Wish.
The Albert app is being utilized by a reported 20 million people globally. Its mission statement is that a person’s entire financial life -- moving money, paying bills, finding discounts, budgeting, saving, investing, syncing accounts -- can be streamlined into a single place.
The company also has patch deals with the WNBA’s Wings and Dream.
