LPGA Rookies Kupcho, Fassi Draw Interest At U.S. Women's Open

Amateur golf standouts Jennifer Kupcho and Maria Fassi  made their "highly anticipated professional debuts" today at the U.S. Women's Open at Country Club of Charleston. Kupcho "has yet to sign with an agency," while Fassi signed with Impact Point and is the "only LPGA player on their roster." Fassi has yet to sign any deals, but her performance at the Augusta National Women's Amateur and recent NCAA title at Arkansas "certainly created a spike in interest." Kupcho signed an equipment deal with Ping and will "play a minimum of 11 Ping clubs." She also will have "Ping on her hat and will carry a Ping Tour staff bag." She also signed with Titleist/Footjoy ( GOLFWEEK.com, 5/29 ).
