Man For All Seasons: Bodley Writes Final Column For USA Today

Baseball writer HAL BODLEY has penned his final column for USA TODAY, having written “nearly 2,600 of them” for the paper dating back to its inception in ’82. Bodley writes, “In 1982 I had no vision about how the world would change in the next 25 years and that I’d be reporting the most eventful period in baseball’s storied history. Maybe it’s fitting this journey ends with George Mitchell 's   report on steroids in the game being the last major event I cover. After all, the past quarter of a century has been filled with some of the highest highs and lowest lows in more than 100 years of the game” ( USA TODAY, 12/21 ).
