The Crew have signed a multiyear deal with Acura to be their jersey sponsor. The deal, which will see Acura become the club’s official and exclusive auto partner, will be for a minimum of three years, said Crew President of Business Operations Andy Loughnane. The deal represents the largest annual deal in club history, though Loughnane declined to comment further. MLS jersey sponsorships typically average between $3-4M annually. The club’s previous jersey sponsor was Barbasol. Negotiations for the deal were held directly between the Crew and Acura. The Crew last year signed a stadium naming-rights deal with Mapfre Insurance, the first time they have had a sponsor in that category.
