Ohio State on Thursday revealed that it "will wear new custom LeBron Soldier XI cleats for Saturday's game against Oklahoma," according to Bill Landis of the Cleveland PLAIN DEALER. The Nike cleats are "white and scarlet featuring a Block O and King James logo on the tongue." OSU coaches have been "wearing shirts with LeBron logos on them since the spring, and the team traveled to last week's season opener against Indiana in LeBron gear" (CLEVELAND.com, 9/7). ESPN.com's Tom VanHaaren noted James is a "supporter of the Ohio State football team and has been seen on the sidelines of their football games and sporting Ohio State gear." Several OSU players "wore Lebron Soldier X cleats in last season's game against Michigan" (ESPN.com, 9/7).
