NBC yesterday drew a 1.9 overnight for Bruins-Blackhawks in the NHL Winter Classic, on par with what the game has drawn the last two years. The game from Notre Dame Stadium was even with Rangers-Sabres from Citi Field last year on New Year’s Day, and also even with Blackhawks-Blues two years ago, which aired on Jan. 2 to avoid NFL competition. Three years ago, Canadiens-Blues drew a 1.8. Boston led all markets yesterday with a 7.9 local rating, followed by Providence with a 6.5. Chicago was No. 3 with a 5.8 local rating. Buffalo, Hartford-New Haven and Las Vegas tied for No. 4 with a 3.4 local rating.
