FIVB confirmed that its next Men’s World Championship will remain "on Russian soil despite the Russian invasion of neighboring Ukraine." This strengthened an earlier statement in which the governing body said that it "doesn’t intend to take away" Russia's organization of the event, scheduled for Aug. 26-Sept. 11 (WORLDOFVOLLEYBALL.com, 2/25).
