The NBA hired Scott Stanchak as vice president of emerging technology. Stanchak was managing director of platform operations for The New York Times.

Boxing

Evander Holyfield launched Real Deal Sports & Entertainment with Sal Musumeci as president and chief executive officer and Eric Bentley as chief operating officer.

Colleges

The National Junior College Athletic Association named Christopher Parker executive director, effective July 17. Parker is vice president for enrollment management, marketing and public relations at Pfeiffer University.

Georgia Tech named Doug Allvine assistant athletic director for innovation, Simit Shah assistant athletic director for brand and ideation and Brad Malone director of athletics brand and ideation.

Ohio State University promoted Carey Fagan to assistant athletic director for sport administration and student-athlete well-being.

The University of New Haven named Duane Bailey associate vice president and athletic director. Bailey was athletic director at the New York Institute of Technology.

The University of Tennessee’s senior associate athletic director for administration and sports programs, Mike Ward, is stepping down from his position.

Texas Tech University hired Tony Hernandez as deputy athletic director. Hernandez was deputy athletic director at the University of Miami.

Football

The NFL named Alberto Riveron senior vice president of officiating, Russell Yurk vice president of instant replay and administration and Wayne Mackie vice president of officiating evaluation and development.

The Buffalo Bills named Brandon Beane general manager. Beane was assistant general manager for the Carolina Panthers.

The Denver Broncos promoted Tom Heckert to senior personnel adviser, A.J. Durso to director of pro personnel, Brian Stark to director of college scouting and Patrick Walsh to player personnel assistant.

The Kansas City Chiefs promoted Brandon Hamilton to vice president of stadium operations and facilities and Tyler Kirby to vice president of ticketing.

Hockey

The Buffalo Sabres hired Jason Botterill as general manager. Botterill was associate general manager for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The ECHL promoted Ryan Crelin to chief operating officer.

The USL Rochester Rhinos hired Daniel Allan as director of finance and John Bourgeois and Daniel Ruddy as account executives of ticket programs.

Sporting Goods and Apparel

Callaway Golf Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Robert Julian left the company. Brian Lynch was named general counsel and interim chief financial officer.

Under Armour promoted Kip Fulks to a strategic adviser role and Kevin Eskridge to chief product officer.

Tennis

The United States Tennis Association hired Paul Maya as chief technology officer. Maya was head of products for the United States Golf Association.

Other

The Pan American Sports Organization elected Neven Ilic as president. Ilic is president of Chile’s Olympic committee.

UFC named Bo Sandoval as director of strength and conditioning and Clint Wattenberg director of nutrition for the UFC Performance Institute.
