One of the initial owners of a TGL franchise will also own one in the women’s league, as Arthur Blank is the first to buy a franchise in WTGL, which launches in winter 2026-27. Blank’s AMBSE owns Atlanta Drive GC in the men’s league, and the organization also will operate the WTGL franchise. For now, the women’s team will be known as “WTGL Atlanta,” with franchise branding and names expected at a later date.

Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures recently announced an investment in WTGL, and the league also has signed players, including Jeeno Thitikul, Charley Hull, Lydia Ko and Rose Zhang. However, the world’s second-ranked player, Nelly Korda, has not signed with WTGL and last week questioned the format of the league.
