England's Leah Williamson becomes stakeholder in Toca Football

Leah Williamson, captain of the Euro 2022-winning England women's national soccer team, has become an investor in Toca Football, the tech-infused training and entertainment soccer company. Williamson, a defender for Arsenal in the Women’s Super League, joins the England men’s captain, Harry Kane, as an equity stakeholder. Toca is the largest operator of indoor soccer training centers in North America and started a 10-year partnership with MLS last October. The company, which was founded by former US national team player Eddie Lewis, also manages Toca Social, a soccer-centric entertainment venue at The O2 in London. This is Williamson’s first foray into business, and she is said to be motivated to inspire young women. She also will collaborate with Toca Social on attracting more female participants.
