is "silent on the impact of a sharp decline in licensed
apparel sales nationwide." GM Eddie White said there were
no layoffs "that I know of" (INDY STAR, 2/9)....In Atlanta,
Renee DeGross reports on this weekend's Super Show, the
sporting goods industry's "largest annual trade show" which
opens Thursday at the GA World Congress Center and GA Dome.
DeGross writes that the show "will showcase online products
and services," but the e-commerce component "represents a
mere fraction of the estimated 3,000 sporting goods
manufacturers coming to town" (ATL CONSTITUTION, 2/9)....The
WALL STREET JOURNAL's Charles Goldsmith reports that BSkyB
is "expected" to announce today new investments in ADSL
technology and e-commerce retailing, including "large
investments" in its Sky Sports Web site, which now has 20
